Flywheel helps Midwest communities tackle housing inaccessibility through smarter policy, financing, and design. But community leaders needed a clear picture of where they stood—and where intervention would make the biggest difference. Housing data was scattered across sources like Census, Zillow, and local records, making it hard to see patterns or compare counties.
We sourced, cleaned, and stored housing accessibility data from multiple sources for counties across Michigan. We built automated pipelines so Flywheel can pull fresh data without starting from scratch each time. Then we created an interactive dashboard that visualizes housing accessibility across Michigan counties—making complex data accessible to community leaders and potential clients.
