We position ourselves at the intersection of learning and community change, offering hands-on research experiences, practical data support for nonprofits, and shared systems that make collaboration easier for everyone.

Community Data Trust (CDT)

Convened by the DataWise Foundation and regional partners, the Community Data Trust builds the shared infrastructure that helps West Michigan’s organizations work better together.

Through common standards, secure data-sharing agreements, and collaborative governance, the CDT makes it easier for nonprofits, government, and funders to use data for collective impact.

Applied Research & Evaluation Collaborative

The Applied Research & Internship Collaborative pairs DataWise Foundation interns with mission-driven organizations to deliver practical, people-centered research and evaluation support.

Students work on real projects—collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data—while receiving close mentorship from DataWise staff. Community partners gain accessible, reliable evaluation services that strengthen strategy, illuminate outcomes, and build long-term learning capacity.
