Neil Carlson, PhD is Founder and Principal Consultant and currently serves as managing partner. He received his doctorate in political science from Duke University in 2004; he previously led the DataWise team in its previous incarnation as the Center for Social Research at Calvin University from 2004 to 2022. Neil delights in solving problems by linking team culture to technology. He’s an omnivore interested in all kinds of research and technical matters, but his research interests tend toward civic engagement, organizational culture, religion and politics, the digital transformation of society, and science and technology policy. Favorite projects often result in interactive data visualizations posted to the DataWise Tableau Public profile. He enjoys sci-fi books and movies and family travel with his wife and two sons.
